I do not get flashed at, my lights are aimed properly and if you want to have insane high beams, LED bulbs there do amazing. LED will always be much brighter than HID, the concentration of light is so nice that it makes every other car I have seem horrible in terms of front lighting. I also have HID lamps (aftermarket ones) but the projectors there are not that great and I am in the process of upgrading the projectors before I attempt to reinstall in the van. The LED bulbs will not require a ballast because, unlike HIDs, there is no need to draw a large amount of power in the beginning.

I know because i had the aftermarket lamps on mine when I got it, I sourced some black assemblies from Ebay which were OEM and with clean lenses and thats what I have in there now along with some GTR Lighting Ultra 2 bulbs which are automtoive grade bulbs with very pricise LED placement which mimics the oem light pattern perfectly. However, OEM lamps work extremely well with LED bulbs and I would suggest going that route. A typical HID globe is only 35-70W, compared with the average 100W for halogen driving. HID lights have globes with wattages that are much lower than halogen lights. One thing to note, any aftermarket halogen lamp is made from copied reflectors and as you can imagine they do not do well with LED bulbs you get some streaks and some dark spots and the cutoff is quite uneven. The typical colour temperature of a standard incandescent globe is less than 3000 Kelvin a halogen globe falls into the 3000-4000 Kelvin range and HID lights exceed 4000 Kelvin. Yes H11 on everything even the FOG lamps. Because of this, they require more time to cool down.

Will the other lights (side marker/ DRL-high beam) attach to the new lamp assembly the same way as existing? Any concerns with the voltage change? What I need to know, and am hoping one of you fine folks will know is what do I need to do to make the plugs work? I am thinking there will be some cutting and splicing involved.? Part #'s or links for the plug would be wonderful. This type of light runs at approximately 20 watts less than the halogen lamp and is still much brighter.
